The new barn is constructed of salvaged antique timbers, sheathing and floor planks.
To suggest that the barn may have been expanded over time, the lean-to features roofing and wall sheathing materials which vary from the main barn.
The design for the frame of the barn is based upon local 18th century examples.
The timbers are joined with pronounced wooden pegs.
